Loaded Mac and Cheese Casserole

Loaded Mac & Cheese

Ingredients:
3 Tbsp butter
1/2 cup diced onions
3 cloves garlic, minced
3.5 Tbsp flour
3.5 cups milk
2 tsp salt
ground black pepper
1 cup sour cream
4 cups shredded cheddar cheese
3 cups uncooked pasta (cooked according to directions on the box)
2/3 cup bread crumbs
1 lb chicken cooked and cut into bite sized pieces
1 cup frozen peas
6 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled

Directions:
Preheat oven to 450. In a large sauce pan melt the butter and saute the onion for 3-4 minutes. Add garlic and saute for 1 more minute. Add in flour and mix. Add milk and whisk until dissolved. Bring to a boil whisking often. Once boiling lower temperature to a simmer until the mixture thickens, whisking frequently. Add the cheese, once it’s melted add in the rest of the ingredients except bread crumbs and bacon. Once mixed transfer to a 13*9 pan then top with the bacon then the bread crumbs. Bake uncovered for 16-18 minutes.  Add a splash of milk when rewarming left overs.
