InstaPot Venison or Beef Tips

Ingredients

2 lbs Venison or Beef trimmed and cut into bite size pieces
1-3 TBS oil
1/4 onion
1 TBS garlic powder
1 TBS salt
2 TBS beef bouillon powder
2 cups beef broth
3 TBS cornstarch
1/2 cup of water

Directions

Add 1 tablespoon oil to the pressure cooker pot, select Sauté. When oil is hot, brown the meat in small batches (add oil if needed), do not crowd. When all the meat is browned, add onion to pressure cooking pot and sauté until tender about 3 minutes.

Add browned meat and beef broth and spices to onion in pot, cover and lock lid in place. Select High Pressure and 25 minutes cook time. When cook time ends, use a quick pressure release or a slow release for additional flavor.

Mix corn starch and water to make a slurry to thicken the broth. Add slurry to cooked meat and broth in pressure cooker pot. Select Browning and bring to a boil. Boil for a few minutes until broth is thickened. Server over mashed potatoes or noodles with salt and pepper to taste.
