Hot Chili

1 ½ pounds Italian sausage (casing removed if using links)
1 large onion, diced
4 garlic cloves, minced
3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
2 (15 ounces) cans chili beans, un-drained
2 (15 ounces) cans tomato sauce
28 ounce can whole tomato, drained and crushed
1 can beer
2 Tbsp. chili powder
2 Tbsp. jalapeno pepper (seeded and chopped)
2 tsp. cinnamon
Crushed red pepper
Cook sausage, onions and garlic in hot oil until sausage is not pink, drain. Add the rest of the ingredients. Simmer uncovered 45 minutes. Top with sour cream and cheese if desired.
