Easiest Peel Eggs

Posted in : All on by : Jeremy Korger

Ingredients
12 eggs
water
ice

Directions
1) There is no need to have “old” eggs, this will work even if you buy fresh eggs. If possible let the eggs come up to room temperature. This isn’t necessary but helps to make sure egg doesn’t pop when added to the boiled water.
2) Bring a pot half full of water to a full boil
3) Using a slotted spoon, lower eggs into pot
4) Boil for 13 minutes. You only need a small boil so you may be able to reduce the heat after a few minutes.
5) Prepare an ice bath with water and ice in a big bowl while eggs cook.
6) After the 13 minute boil, using a slotted spoon transfer eggs to ice bath.
7) Let eggs sit in ice bath for at least 5 minutes.
8) Take an egg and put in a small glass cup, cover the cup with your hand and shake the cup breaking up the egg shell.
9) Peel shell and then repeat.
